 This week in writing we have been looking at recounts and how we can improve our writing.  We started looking at our writing rubrics and understanding how to find what level pieces of writing are.

Great and Grands day

 Today was meant to be Greats and Grands day at our school.  This has been cancelled for this year due to COVID-19.  We wanted to still share some writing about our amazing grandparents.  Here is my work.

 For T-Shaped literacy we got to learn about Conservation.  Here is a create task I made.  It is an animation.  1 thing I enjoyed was creating the backgrounds.  1 thing I learned was we need to protect the native bush.

scratch meets google meet

Over the last week I have been working on a scratch project that helps my audience understand how to use google meet effectively when in a class call.

We had to add our voice to the scratch project so that when someone clicks the icon and it tells you what the sprite is.

Ngā āhua - Shapes

mini olympics Recount

In Team Awa we have been learning about the Olympic Games and using this in our maths.  In class we had our own mini Olympic games to help us explore measurement.   Here is a recount I wrote about this.

outdoor classroom -Movie

 On outdoor classroom day we went out the back to make movies about hut making.  

We learned about not putting the ipad in the back of the sun, and that movies are like writing stories.

It was easy to build the hut. It was easy to do the close up videos where we were building our mud hut to trap a goat.

It was hard to get all the clips we needed.

I liked it because we build a mud hut to catch a goat.

I like my pop art because it has a tractor.

I like my kiwi texture because it looks better than light colours.
