Fractions

 We have been learning about the fractions ½, ⅓, ¼, ⅕.  I can match the shapes with the fraction.

PE and Sports

 This term Matua Tupara came in to teach us some athletics skills.  We learnt how to throw a discus and a shot put.  We also practised running and jumping.

Te reo fruit and vege

 Mrs H is training to be a teacher and she was in our class for four weeks.  We learnt the te reo Maori words for some fruit and vegetables.

Recount writing Term 4

 We have been learning how to write interesting recount writing by including adjectives and verbs.  I hope you enjoy my story.

Staying safe around the water

This blog post is about water safety.  Corrina came into our class to teach us about being safe around water.  We learnt to stay in a huddle with our lifejackets on.

Insects Collage

We were learning about making a digital collage.

We created an insect to show what we have learned. I made a butterfly.

I found it easy to do the shapes.

I found it hard to do the body.

I really enjoyed making the butterfly because i'm trying to solve the puzzle of putting shapes together.

Next time I need to put more details on to try make it real.

We created a Google Draw of a kiwi to show what we have learned.

I found it easy to do the shapes .

I found it hard to do the shadow.

I really enjoyed making the kiwi.

Next time I need to it faster and add more detail.

Invitation for Greats and Grands

 Next term we are having our annual Greats and Grands day at Ohaeawai School.  I have created an invitation using Google Draw.

Procedural writing

 We have been learning to write instructions to complete a task.

How to wash your hands.

What you need: towel, water, soap.

1. Turn on the tap and rinse your hands.

2. Then squeeze the soap on your hands.

3. Then squeeze the soap together and wash your hands for 20 seconds and sing.

4. Then turn the tap back on and rinse your hands again.

5. Then dry your hands on the towel.

6. Then turn it off.

The Cat and the Vet

The cat went to the vet because he has a broken leg, it's his left back leg.  The cat's colour is orange

and black also white and he looks like a tiger.He went to the vet because he was getting chased by
the big dog, the big dog chased the cat around the house and then the cat jumped up on the seat
then the table and jumped up onto the fridge and then the cat jumped off the fridge and broke his
leg and then the cat went to the vet.

The cat looks scared looking at the vet man because the cat was getting an injection to calm down
so the vet can fix his broken leg.
